Registration Information

Registration for CIKM 2011 has now closed.

Each accepted paper must be accompanied by ONE registration. An author of multiple papers can use the same form. An author presenting a conference and workshop paper should pay both conference and workshop registration fees. For each accepted paper, at least ONE author must register by Aug. 12, 2011 to secure the paper in the CIKM 2011 Program and Proceedings. The early rate is valid until Aug. 31. After that, the regular rate applies until 30 Sep., followed by the late rate.

CIKM 2011 Conference, Workshops, and Tutorial Registration Rates at a Glance:

* All costs shown above are in British pounds Sterling (GBP), and include a free lunch each day. An online currency converter can be consulted to provide an idea of fees in your local currency. All costs must be paid upfront using a credit card in the online registration system. All registration deadlines are midnight GMT.

Main conference registration includes:

• Admission to main conference sessions
• Electronic Proceedings
• Lunch every day
• Refreshments for all breaks (coffee & tea)
• Civic Reception
• Banquet

Tutorial registration includes attendence at two tutorials, including tutorial notes, lunch and coffee/tea breaks.

Workshop registration includes electronic proceedings, lunch and coffee/tea breaks on workshop day(s).

Amendments to registrations - e.g. adding a workshop to a conference registration - should be emailed to registration@cikm2011.org.

Member and Student Rates

To qualify for member rates, you must be a member of ACM, ACM SIGIR, or ACM SIGWEB. There are discounts for students and ACM/SIG student members. You will need a valid ACM/SIG ID to qualify for ACM member rates. At the conference, a student will need to present a valid Full-time Student ID or a recent letter from their department head certifying student status.

Partial Registration Fee Refund

For partial refund in registration fees resulting from registration changes (e.g., changing from student non-member to student member), a processing fee of GBP 50 will be charged.

All refunds will be processed after the CIKM 2011 conference has taken place.

Terms of Cancellation

Requests for registration cancellation must be made in writing to:

All requests for refunds will be processed after the CIKM 2011 conference. Refunds will be made in accordance with the following schedule: For cancellations made on or before August 31, 2011, 25% of the total registration fee will be forfeited. For cancellations made on or before October 1, 2011, 50% of the total registration fee will be forfeited. For cancellations made after October 1, 2011, no refund will be made. In addition, administrative charges may apply. There will be no refunds for authors of accepted papers.
