Venue

The CIKM 2011 conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.

The mirror-like tower of Crowne Plaza Glasgow soars into the sky above the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on the banks of the River Clyde. The Crowne Plaza is 15 minutes' drive from Glasgow International Airport with plenty of parking. Under the expansive, slanting windows and shipping-inspired mural is the One Restaurant, where seared scallops and medallions of venison are served. The Exhibition Centre rail station opposite the SECC connects to Glasgow Central rail station in the heart of the city's financial and shopping district. Stroll by the river to the nearby Glasgow Science Centre and Transport Museum, or a few minutes into the heart of the city's vibrant West End, with the University, museums, boutique shopping, as well as cafes, bars and restaurants.

Crowne Plaza Glasgow has a range of conference room and breakout areas, which will allow a full conference program for CIKM 2011, including keynotes, technical, workshop and tutorial sessions.

Facilities for attendees staying at the Crowne Plaza include indoor swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool, as well as a beauty salon, newsstand and room service.
